Samsung Internet 18.0: Beta improves anti-tracking technology

Samsung gives the latest beta version 18.0 of the in-house Samsung Internet browser the possibility of extracting text from images. In this update, Samsung improves the anti-tracking technology so that new tracking technologies can’t track your online behavior. Also, you can extract text from images on web pages.

This feature works only on phones running Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1. The company also changes the UI design a bit. The toolbar can now appear either towards the bottom of the screen or beside the URL bar, depending on the screen size.

You can get the beta as usual via the Google Play Store. Samsung Internet is – even outside of Samsung’s smartphones – a popular alternative to Chrome and Firefox on Android devices.
