Starting with the new beta for One UI 5.0, Samsung will provide native support for some new emojis from the end of 2021. These include, among other things, a saluting face, a melting variant and a friend who covers one eye and lets the other’s gaze shine through.
Benny blogged about the new candidates here in September 2021. There are of course other new additions, which you can then discover natively on Samsung devices in the foreseeable future.
Does the world need more emojis? That’s in the eye of the beholder, but more possibilities of expression, maybe some readers appreciate that.
