PS5 Pro, dynamic 4K at 120fps and 4K at 60fps with improved RT in the latest rumors

PS5 Pro, the possible mid-gen upgrade of the Sony console, continues to be talked about: the latest rumors reported by the English creator Foxy speak of dynamic 4K graphics and 120 fps or real 4K and 60 fps, in the latter case with improved ray tracing.

This is basically a confirmation with respect to information already published a few weeks ago in relation to the technical specifications of PS5 Pro, but with some more details, specifically, an SSD that would remain identical to the current one and a release window expected for the autumn of 2024.

“The PS5 Pro’s unfinished target specs suggest that PlayStation 6 may be capable of rendering 4K native at 120fps, dynamic 8K at 60fps and native 8K at 30fps,” Foxy estimated. “At the moment it seems absurd, but we are talking about a system in theory arriving between 2027 and 2028.”

Most likely by that time 8K TVs will have become as popular as today’s 4K, in fact, and home consoles will have to adjust to that level of visual fidelity, with all that that entails in terms of hardware components.

Of course, the fact remains that for the moment the rumors on PlayStation 5 Pro must be taken exactly for what they are, given that any formalization will not arrive for a couple of years.
