Google has been offering the best camera smartphones for years and must therefore be measured with others. This time with the new Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The Chinese have a new camera sensor from Sony that surpasses all others on paper.
In addition, they now work together with Leica. But none of that means anything. The truth is on the pitch, in this example in the camera comparison. I once dug out a video for you in which the brand new and much more expensive Xiaomi smartphone competes against the Pixel 6 Pro.
And what do you say? I do think that you can see differences and that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra performs well. But the differences are not that significant for the entire camera package and certainly not worth the price difference. With us, the new Xiaomi smartphone would certainly cost 300 – 400 euros more than an upcoming Pixel 7 Pro.
