As was to be expected Stray is grinding great numbers on Steam, where at the time of writing it has surpassed 60,000 concurrent users, making it pretty much the best launch ever for a game published by Annapurna Interactive.
This detail was shared by the ever attentive Benji-Sales, who for a comparison compared the number of active users on Steam of the other Annapurna Interactive titles. Stray currently has around 62,736 active users according to SteamDB, while at launch Twelve Minutes it counted “only” 8,021, while the frenetic Neon White arrived a few weeks ago on Steam and Nintendo Switch had 3,277.
Stray has shattered the concurrent players record for any Annapurna Interactive game on Steam easily becoming its biggest PC launch ever

In part this result was predictable: the game has been closely followed by critics and the public since its announcement and even before the official debut it was among the top positions of the Steam sales chart only with pre-orders. On our pages you will find the review of Stray, which we remind you is also available for PS5 and PS4, in which Tommaso Pugliese states:
“Stray is a small pearl, an adventure capable of offering truly suggestive sequences and a fascinating story, even touching in some situations, which rests on the solid foundations of very well-written lore. Of course, just like a stray cat happens to the game.
Frightened by every little jolt, and so the team created a comfortable bubble in which to move without fear of any pitfalls, with the result of avoiding blunders but at the same time giving up fully expressing a potential that appears clear in the first few minutes. The way we will have time to reflect on what Stray fails to be: better focus on what it is, which is the next title you will play. ”
