Xiaomi 12S Ultra equipped with a new self-developed chip

Xiaomi’s latest top flagship Mi 12S Ultra was officially released on July 4 this year. As a major promotional selling point, the machine is equipped with Xiaomi’s self-developed fast charging chip Surging P1 and battery management chip Surging G1. Yesterday, a blogger broke the news that the device is also equipped with a new self-developed chip.

A Weibo tipster said that by dismantling the Xiaomi Mi 12S Ultra, he found that the machine also has a Xiaomi chip with the model number C2-2214A027. For the function of the chip, the blogger said that he can take a look at the subsequent development. Because Xiaomi has not fully implemented the corresponding functions, there is no relevant publicity for the chip.

Judging from the picture, the chip has a large area and is printed with the Xiaomi logo. It is expected that Xiaomi will announce the existence of the chip and its specific functions after the software adaptation is completed. Otherwise, the chip should not be installed on the motherboard.

Some users said in the comment area that Xiaomi Pengpai C1 is an image processing chip, and the chip model is C2, is it an iteratively upgraded graphics processing chip? In addition, some netizens have already helped Xiaomi come up with the slogan, saying that “one mobile phone is three times more powerful”.

The Surging C1 is Xiaomi’s first professional imaging chip, which was first released on the Xiaomi MIX FOLD mobile phone. Surging C1 has a dual filter configuration, which can realize parallel processing of high and low-frequency signals, and the signal processing efficiency is improved by 100%. The chip cooperates with the self-developed algorithm, which can greatly improve the 3A (AF, AWB, AE) performance of the image.
