Pixel 6a users can now test Android 13 Beta update

Google brought the Android 13 Beta 4 patch last Monday before the consumer launch for bug fixes for the Pixel 6a phone and other feature improvements. This update to the build number to the Pixel 6a and appends “A2”.

It enables you can easily sign-up via the Android Beta Program or by manually sideloading(faster):

As per Android 13 Beta release notes, the Pixel 6a should be running on the July security patch, like same as the other Beta 4.1 devices. Although, after installation, “June 1, 2022” is listed on both the System update screen and Security Hub.

Android 13 should bring the July security patch to the Pixel 6a following its day one update to June except for the other visual functionality changes, this launch is only available for Global/Unlocked and AT&T/T-Mobile devices.

For now, on the report of security release notes published, it seems Android 13 will launch this September. The day of launch is not clear yet may be released to AOSP (Android Open-Source Project). May be like last year OTAs possibly begin later in the month.
