Square Enix blocks the Tomb Raider leak

A few days ago, some rumors related to a new alleged Tomb Raider project, codenamed Project Jawbreaker, emerged on the net. In a video podcast of Sacred Symbols, some scripts related to the game were read. Square Enix – which for the moment still owns Tomb Raider and Crystal Dynamics – has however blocked the video in question with a DMCA. Does this mean that there is some truth in the information?

The existence of the DMCA seems to suggest that the script contains information not intended for the public and that there may be a basis for truth. Project Jawbreaker could therefore be the new Tomb Raider game, which we remember was announced in April 2022. The script describes the new game as “an action-adventure game set in a modern world shaken by a mysterious cataclysm.”

We specify that Sacred Symbols has not completely removed the episode from Patreon (where it was published), but has published a new modified version that does not contain the reading of the Project Jawbreaker script.

This new game would also bring other Tomb Raiders to the field, alongside Lara Croft. Compared to the previous games, we would have a more adult and experienced Lara, who has left the drama of her family behind. For all information about it, you can refer to our dedicated news.
