Pixel 7 series to support higher quality Bluetooth LE Audio

Google’s upcoming Pixel 7 series reportedly getting higher quality support for Bluetooth LE Audio. The whole lineup includes Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7a.

In the latest Android version Android 13, the mobile OS received initial support for the Bluetooth LE Audio standard but it takes some time to fully fix. With the help of this enhancement, the next generation of truly wireless earbuds will be more efficient to use.

According to the latest report, some improvement is ongoing for the LC3 Audio codec which lower down audio far more efficiently as compared to the Bluetooth classic audio.

The Googler page shows these phones with the number “p22/p23a.” On that, “p22” is shorthand for the Pixel phones releasing in fall 2022, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Similarly, “p23a” stands for Google’s A-series phone releasing in 2023, the presumed Pixel 7a.
