Chromecasts support Netflix’s new ad-supported tier when runs on Google TV

Nowadays, people entertain themselves by using online platforms and Netflix is one of them. It is a platform where you watch several types of shows, like anime, action, and documentaries. Now, Netflix released its new tier which is supported by ads. This new feature won’t be compatible with the old Chromecast device but it supports it when it runs on Google TV. Recently, on its support page, Netflix says that for supporting the new Basic with ads tier with the 720p streaming and for an ad break of $6.99 per month. That Google Chromecast also does not support the new Netflix ad-supported tier unless the user streams on Google TV.

If users want to stream the Netflix ad-supported tier they must use Chromecast with Google TV (4K) and Chromecast with Google TV (HD).

Netflix briefly explains:

To cast Netflix to a Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra, you’ll need to upgrade your Netflix plan to Basic, Standard, or Premium.

For phones and tablet users, they must use the Android 7.0 or above version for the new Netflix ad-supported tier.

Lastly. currently, this new Netflix ad is available in the United States United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Korea. If you want to use this service Netflix then must use Chromecast with Google TV.
