Tesla released the latest 2022.40.4.2 version update

According to the latest report, Tesla released a new software update. The latest update rolled out with version number 2022.40.4.2. This update is optimized for charging station power capacity, improving charging efficiency. The latest update also repairs network security vulnerabilities and optimize for NFC vulnerabilities. Tesla 2022.40.4.2 Update Release Notes:

  • Repair network security vulnerabilities, and optimize for NFC vulnerabilities:
    • Adding a new key requires the user to confirm the car-machine interface;
    • Adding new keys is not allowed in valet mode;
  • Optimize the stability of the display process;
  • Optimize the lighting performance after the vehicle wakes up;
  • Optimize kinetic energy recovery performance;
  • In the car wash mode, the vehicle will be parked by pulling the outside handle of the door. If the driver is not in the car in the car wash mode, further reduce the maximum speed limit in the vehicle’s neutral gear;
  • The temperature system control during DC fast charging has been optimized for the power capacity of each charging station, which not only improves the charging efficiency but also improves the battery temperature preset efficiency along the way. Charging time is shortened and electricity bills are reduced;
  • The redesigned Supercharger map popup now shows past charging station occupancy and associated charging costs (if any);
  • After the driver’s door unlock mode is enabled, press and hold the switch on the inside of the driver’s door to unlock all doors and trunks;
  • Immediately after a tire rotation, swap or replacement, reset the learned tire settings to enhance the driving experience.
