The price tracker in Chrome is a pretty cool new tool. Google can track multiple websites and digital storefronts for you, just like a lot of other third-party sites do, making sure you get one of the best deals.

To track a product, all you need to do is locate it and click a button in Chrome. That’s all. The feature has been widely available on desktops since early December. Multiple members of our team are experiencing the same feature, suggesting that the same price tracking tool that is available in Chrome will soon be available on Android-based mobile devices.

In the past, you could track prices using a feature that was similar to this one in the tab grid. Similar to desktop pages, eligible pages will now have a new pill button and price tracking icon at the top.

Available starting in the U.S. on desktops and Android devices, next time you’re shopping, select “track price” in the Chrome address bar. You can manage the products you’re tracking through the side panel, or through the notifications you receive.

On a mobile device, when you tap the price tracking icon in Chrome, a small pop-up window will appear near the bottom of the page. For quick access, you can choose which bookmark folder the item is saved in. In addition, you can enable or disable the price tracking feature.

Lastly, Google will notify you of the new price and where to find it if it changes in the future. You won’t have to track the same item across multiple storefronts because this function works across all of them.
