In the Philippines, Samsung Galaxy Watch 5/Pro watches will enable blood pressure monitoring and ECG features

Blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring, heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, SpO2 measuring, and stress monitoring are just a few of the health and fitness tracking features available on Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series devices. Nevertheless, not all areas have access to ECG and blood pressure monitoring.

According to a statement from Samsung, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will now have ECG and blood pressure monitoring capabilities in the Philippines. Now that the Samsung Health Monitor app is available for smartphones, users may calibrate it using conventional cuff-based blood pressure monitors. Users can share their blood pressure data with medical staff by exporting it in PDF format.

A BioActive sensor used in an electrocardiogram (ECG) captures the heart’s periodic electrical activity. When paired with a compatible smartphone running the Samsung Health Monitor software, the Galaxy Watch 5 series can measure an electrocardiogram. Users must ensure sure the smartwatch is mounted on their wrist securely while sitting comfortably. They must place their other hand’s fingertip on the watch’s top button while supporting their forearm on a flat surface.

The ECG capability on the Galaxy Watch 5 may measure heart rate and rhythm, which will be shown as sinus rhythm or AFib. To share this data with medical specialists, users can export it as a PDF.
