Google include a Material You update to Pixel Recorder website

Speaker Labels were included in the most recent major update to Pixel Recorder in December, and Google has since updated the website with some quirky Material You tweaks.

The controls in the bottom row are where the changes to recorder.google.com begin. The play button is shaped like a pill, and the pause button is a rounded rectangle with animation when switching states. Similar to the Android app, this has a 5-second rewind and a 10-second forward in circles.

On the left, you can switch between the single-pane and dual-pane views. This makes use of Material You’s flower, which is officially called a “clover,” with “Audio” and “Transcript” acting as toggles. The playback speed and volume slider on the right are identical to those on Android 12/13.

In the meantime, the sound waveform/record is housed in a light blue compartment, which is the emphasized variety utilized all through. The app, which was previously rather subdued and serious, is brought to life with this more extensive use of color.

One of the few Google web applications with a Material You redesign is Pixel Recorder, along with Gmail, Drive, Docs/Sheets/Slides, and Trends.
