A few days before users of Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 complained about their devices overheating and battery drainage problems. Now Google providing a fix for this issue. There is a backend change in the Google app which causes battery drainage on Pixel phones.
In starting of this month, this issue occurred on Pixel devices when they updated the latest Google app versions. Now these issues fixes come and for this, there are no need and system updates because it a server-side so it resolves fast.
A recent Google App backend change unintentionally resulted in a subset of Android devices experiencing accelerated battery drain. We rolled out a fix shortly after becoming aware of the issue, and impacted users should see their devices return to normal behavior immediately. This fix does not require an app update.
Lastly, this issue made Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 users worry because their devices got when not in use but after this fix relief from this issue.
