OnePlus V Fold specifications are leaked

OnePlus, the renowned Chinese manufacturer, is set to make its foray into the world of foldable smartphones with the highly anticipated OnePlus V Fold. While this marks OnePlus’ debut in this particular market segment, it is not entirely unfamiliar territory for BBK Electronics, the parent company, which also owns brands like Realme and OPPO. OPPO, in fact, has been offering a range of folding smartphones, including the OPPO Find N2 and Find N2 Flip, for the past couple of years.

Collaborating with the MySmartPrice portal and reputable leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer (@Onleaks), we now have access to key specifications of the OnePlus V Fold, which promises to be a true 360-degree folding flagship device.

In its quest to compete with Samsung, a pioneer in this segment, OnePlus is leaving no stone unturned. The aesthetics of the smartphone have already been revealed through leaked renderings, but it is now evident that the OnePlus V Fold is poised to be a flagship device in terms of specifications as well.

The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with an impressive 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with the possibility of other memory configurations. The device boasts a well-placed camera setup comprising 48MP + 48MP + 64MP lenses, along with a substantial 4800mAh battery capable of 67W wired charging.

What truly sets the OnePlus V Fold apart are the two large AMOLED displays, both featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. The external display measures 6.3 inches with Full HD+ resolution and houses a 32-megapixel front camera. Meanwhile, the internal display spans 7.8 inches with a 2K resolution and accommodates a 20-megapixel front camera. Although precise details regarding the display form factor are still scarce, the device appears to have a more elongated design compared to the Google Pixel Fold, based on the renderings.

Additionally, the leaker hinted at a side-mounted fingerprint reader. On the software front, the OnePlus V Fold is expected to run OxygenOS 13.1, in tandem with Android 13.
