Pixel Watch to introduce Wear OS beta program for enhanced user experience

Google is expanding its beta program beyond Pixel phones, reflecting the significant growth in its device portfolio since autumn 2022. In addition to the introduction of its first proprietary Wear OS watch, Google has also launched a tablet and a foldable device. As a result, the official beta program is set to expand accordingly in the near future.

The upcoming updates include Wear OS 4 for the Pixel Watch, while the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet are expected to receive Android 14. Although specific dates have not been disclosed yet, analyzing source codes has provided insights into Google’s upcoming plans. Notably, the terminology used by Google has been revised to encompass all Pixel devices, rather than solely referring to phones.

It is worth noting that Google has been offering a beta program for Android for some time, allowing owners of current Pixel cell phones to conveniently download the latest test version wirelessly. However, it is important to remember that beta versions may contain errors and may not be suitable for everyday use.
