Anticipated price hike for Pixel 8 series

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 smartphones were originally priced at EUR 649.00, while the Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro models carried a higher price tag of EUR 899.00. As for the forthcoming Pixel 8 and 8 Pro devices, their pricing details have yet to be unveiled; however, expectations suggest a substantial increase in cost.

According to Yogesh Brar, the Pixel 8 is predicted to be priced between $650 and $700, indicating a potential increment of $50 to $100 in comparison to the 2022 model. These price estimates pertain to the base configuration, encompassing 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The Pixel 8 is anticipated to introduce notable enhancements, such as a brighter 120Hz display. Speculation also suggests the inclusion of an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which is expected to replace the optical counterpart featured in previous iterations.

Moreover, the Pixel 8 is expected to boast a slightly larger battery capacity of 4,485mAh, along with support for 24W wired charging and 12W Qi wireless charging.

While the possibility of a price increase for the Pixel 8 Pro remains uncertain, further details regarding its pricing are currently unavailable.
