Fourth One UI 5 Watch Beta update released for Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5

Samsung has recently introduced the fourth beta update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, offering users in the US and Korea the opportunity to experience the new One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 ahead of the Galaxy Watch 6 unveiling. The beta program has seen three previous updates, and the latest firmware version ZWG7 brings a range of enhancements and fixes.

Among the improvements, users can expect enhanced initial speed, resulting in a faster startup process for the smartwatches. Additionally, the update promises improvements in battery life, which will enhance the overall user experience. Some known issues have also been resolved, including an error related to brightness control using the virtual touch bezel and a bug affecting watch face colors.

The download size of the fourth beta update is slightly over 300 MB, and it includes the latest security patch dated July 1, 2023, ensuring the devices are up-to-date and secure.

As for the release of the official One UI 5 Watch and Wear OS 4 update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series, Samsung has not provided a definitive timeline. However, based on previous patterns seen with the One UI 4.5 Watch beta program, it is reasonable to expect the global rollout to commence shortly after the official launch of the Galaxy Watch 6 series on July 26. Nonetheless, this is purely speculative at this stage.

For Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 4 Classic, Galaxy Watch 5, or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro owners enrolled in the One UI 5 Watch beta program, the fourth update can be downloaded now via the Galaxy Wearable app on the connected smartphone.
