Apple’s latest iOS 17 beta version has brought forth significant enhancements for British users of Siri. Notably, two new “British” Siri voices have been introduced, providing users with a more natural and immersive experience. These new voices can be accessed via the Settings app under Siri & Search by selecting Siri Voice, where they join the existing two “British” Siri voices.

The inclusion of these two new “British” voices marks the only voice-related additions made in the current iteration of iOS 17. The exact timing of their inclusion remains uncertain, as it remains unclear whether they were added during the third beta or in previous beta versions. However, credit for their discovery goes to MacRumors forum member MegaBlue, who uncovered these voices before the latest updated third beta.
Furthermore, iOS 17 introduces several other noteworthy updates to the Siri functionality. One such improvement allows users to eliminate the need for saying “Hey” before initiating a “Hey Siri” command. Additionally, Siri can now read web articles aloud, providing users with a convenient way to consume content. Moreover, users can now make back-to-back requests without the need to reactivate Siri each time, streamlining the interaction process.
