Despite mounting criticisms, the existing strategy remains unaltered.

The Pixel 7a’s update guarantee concludes on May 8, 2026, whereas the Pixel Fold’s ends on June 26, 2026. Remarkably, despite a substantial price disparity, the Pixel Fold, priced at €1,899, and the €509 Pixel 7a share identical warranty periods.
This equivalence extends to security updates as well, with a prolonged coverage period of five years. Throughout this duration, regular patches are promptly accessible on a monthly basis. The Pixel Fold’s security guarantee spans until June 25, 2028, while the Pixel 7a’s persists until May 7, 2028.
