Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 Active and Watch 3 to receive new watch faces inspired by Watch 6

Samsung is set to introduce fresh watch face options for the Galaxy Watch 2 Active and the Galaxy Watch 3 later this year. These additions take inspiration from the watch faces featured on the Galaxy Watch 6.

The Galaxy Watch 2 Active and Watch 3 models, although ineligible for the One UI 5 upgrade, will not be left devoid of enhancements. Notably, the 2019 Galaxy Watch 2 Active and the 2020 Galaxy Watch 3 will be infused with a touch of the Galaxy Watch 6 aesthetic in the upcoming autumn release. The recently launched Watch 6 series incorporates a collection of new dials, which will soon be accessible on the Galaxy Watch 2 Active and Watch 3.

Specifically, these include the ‘Stretched Time’ and ‘Perpetual’ dials, referred to as ‘Stretched Time’ and ‘Blijvend’ respectively in Dutch. Users will have a plethora of customization options available for both, with ‘Stretched Time’ offering an array of choices.

Regarding the timing of this enhancement, Samsung has refrained from disclosing a comprehensive schedule for the update. The anticipated time frame, as indicated by the South Korean company, is “next fall,” requiring users to exercise some patience.

It’s noteworthy that the new watch faces, as showcased above, will also become accessible on the Galaxy Watch 4 and 5 series. This incorporation will be part of the broader One UI 5 Watch upgrade. Anticipated to roll out in the forthcoming weeks, this comprehensive upgrade for Watch 4 and 5 models was previously detailed in our earlier communication, outlining the multitude of innovations One UI 5 Watch is poised to bring to these devices.
