Apple iPad Pro May Support MagSafe Wireless Charging

Apple is said to launch the new iPad Pro models in 2024. According to the latest report, the company could introduce OLED screens on iPads, shifting from the Liquid Retina XDR display.

It will also support the MagSafe wireless charging. Apple is said to have been testing MagSafe compatibility for iPads since 2021, and we may finally see its implementation on the next iPad Pro.

The company will have to shift from aluminium back panels to glass back panels to allow wireless charging. As iPads have a larger footprint, having a huge glass back could make the iPad susceptible to cracks and fall damage.

The company also need to use the stronger magnets to keep the iPad firmly attached to the MagSafe pad. Apple may schedule these launches in two phases. The base model iPads are expected to launch as early as March 2024, whereas the iPad Pro could launch in mid-2024.
