Polestar first phone passed Google Play certification

Polestar Motors has officially announced that it will launch its first smartphone. It has now passed Google’s compatibility certification, confirming that it will use Meizu Assist in the development of a customized system that supports Google Play.

Officials have previously revealed that this phone is a collaboration between Meizu and Polestar’s Gothenburg design team, and is equipped with Polestar OS (probably based on Flyme OS). In terms of appearance, the overall design of the phone is similar to the Meizu 20 series mobile phone, but it has Polestar hot-stamped words on the side, and the LOGO on the back case is also in the shape of Polestar’s “cross”.

This phone will bring a seamless connection between mobile phones and cars, and provide a series of functions such as a “super desktop”. The Polestar OS that will be equipped on Polestar mobile phones and cars is based on the system experience of Lynk & Co 08 and Flyme Auto.

However, regarding the question of how many models Polestar will produce, Shen Ziyu responded this way: We will just make one model and not others. Meizu already has many. At the same time, the phone will be targeted at Polestar car owners and users who like Polestar lifestyle.
