Microsoft launches new strategy to promote Win11

A Reddit user has recently updated his computer with Windows 10 to Patch, a full-screen reminder suddenly popped up while he was working. In this full-screen reminder, Microsoft first “thanked” users for their loyalty to Windows 10, and then changed the subject and reminded users that Windows 10 will no longer be supported on October 14, 2025.

However, what is ridiculous is that the page clearly displays ” Your computer is not eligible to upgrade to Windows 11, but it will continue to receive Windows 10 patches and security updates .” (Your PC is not eligible to upgrade to Windows 11, but it will continue to receive Windows 10 fixes and security updates until support ends on October 14, 2025.)

As early as 2019, Microsoft had already notified Windows 7 users through similar means : support is about to end, please upgrade.

Your Windows 7 computer is not supported.

As of January 14, 2020, support for Windows will end. Your computer is more vulnerable to viruses and malware for the following reasons:

No security updates
No software updates
No technical support

Microsoft strongly recommends using Windows 10 on new computers to get the latest security features and protect against malware.
