A person familiar with the matter disclosed that the Google cloud service, which provides computing power for the websites of many large companies, was interrupted on Tuesday due to a network configuration failure and is expected to be fully restored within 35 minutes. According to Downdetector, multiple company websites running on Google Cloud, including Home Depot and even Spotify Technology SA, received user reports of service interruptions at noon. Users also reported network failures of Etsy Inc. and Snap Inc.

A Google Cloud spokesperson said in a statement that the company is aware of the problem with its platform and added that the details of the failure have been published on the status page. The website reported network problems shortly after 10 am San Francisco time, stating that customers may encounter error messages when accessing the web page.
