Owners of one of the phones of the Mountain View giant can check the actual availability of these new functions with a long press on the top of the home screen of their devices, tapping Customize and then pressing the gear icon to access the settings menu.

Here come 3 news for the Widget At A Glance

In addition to the options related to Timer and Stopwatch, Bedtime and Fitness, users should also see the following three items:

  • Connected devices – through this option you will be able to view the connection status and battery information of your Bluetooth devices at the time of reconnection (for example, when you take the Pixel Buds out of their case)
  • Security Check – shows a countdown related to the Personal Security application
  • Earthquake Alert – shows an alert in case earthquakes of magnitude 4.5 (or greater) are detected in the user’s vicinity

All three of these functions can be turned on or off while it is unclear whether the “reminder to turn off the alarm if the next day is a holiday” feature is still on.

According to reports, these new features of the Widget At A Glance seem to be already widely available in the United States but soon should reach owners of Google Pixel series smartphones globally. Just have a little patience.
