Microsoft Edge Dev Browser 103 released

As Microsoft prepares to release Edge 102 in the Beta and Stable channels, Edge 103 is moving from Canary to Dev. The first Dev 103 release is in beta. Version 103.0.1253.0 is a relatively minor update with the most important new feature being support for historical natural language searches. You can open the history popup and type something like “YouTube last week.”

In a previous Edge Dev update, Microsoft added support for Clarity Boost, a feature that improves image quality when streaming games from the cloud.

The new features of Microsoft Edge Dev 103 are as follows:

  • Added the ability to pin a PWA/website installed as an app from its… menu to the taskbar.
  • The ability to search in historical popups using natural language is enabled by default (for example, “Youtube from last week”).
  • Added an administrative policy setting Internet Explorer Mode Zoom Display Type, which controls whether the browser’s zoom level considers the current display scale as IE used to do (for example, if the display zoom is set to 150%, IE’s default zoom level will display 150%). Note that updates to documentation and admin templates may not have occurred yet.
