- Multi-core Score: 6,236
- Single-core Score: 1,930
Whereas, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Scored:
- Multi-core Score: 5,164
- Single-core Score: 1,491
So, Snapdragon 8 Gen3 has a 29% increase in single-core performance and 20% in multi-core. Also, it is 20% more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 because it’s being manufactured on TSMC 4 NP process
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a 1+5+2 cores configuration which includes a Cortex X4 core as well.
Whereas the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 has 1+4+3 cores settings.
From the Geekbench scores, it is clear that Snapdragon 8 Gen3 trashes Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chipset because A16 scored:
- Multi-core Score: 5,538
- Single-core Score: 1,885
Note: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is definitely an engineering sample, and the engineers could be playing around with power limits to determine how far one can push the chip.
