Several people were startled by how small Google wants to make its forthcoming smartphones after the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro were already visible in the first render pictures. But we were overly happy.
The Pixel 8 Pro had some initial problems because the dimensions did not correspond to the specified display size. And that’s exactly what happened since @OnLeaks has now admitted that he actually measured the diagonals inaccurately.
Some pointed out inconsistencies regarding #Pixel8 #Pixel8Pro screens size.
I checked again and it seems I indeed measured diagonals the wrong way…🤦🏻♂️#Pixel8 = circa 6.2″#Pixel8Pro = circa 6.7″
That being said, overall dimensions remain accurate. Sorry for the mistake…😅 pic.twitter.com/wxYfFO2Djg

As a result, the Pixel 8 will now have a 6.2-inch display (instead of a 5.8-inch screen), while the Pixel 8 Pro will continue to have a 6.7-inch screen. As a result, the Pixel 8 will actually be a tiny bit smaller than the Pixel 7, which has a 6.3′′ display right now.
