Xiaomi expanding January 2021 security patch update for the Redmi 7A smartphone users in China with the build number V12.0.2.0.QCMCNXM and weighs 2.8GB in size. The update comes with the same changelog as the previous one. Below you can check the download link of this update.

Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi 7A device in China. This is still an Android 10-based UI update and not Android 11.
In this update, Xiaomi fixes some toggles that disappeared from the Control center in the editing mode as well as optimized the brightness and color improvements for wallpapers in Dark mode.

Talking about the MIUI 12 based update for Redmi 7A, it comes with firmware version V12.0.2.0.QCMCNXM, and weighs 2.0GB in size. The update gets the usual MIUI 12 design and animation changes along with increased system security.

Control center
- New: Swipe down from the upper left corner to open the Notification shade and from the upper right corner to open the Control center.
- Fix: Some toggles disappeared from the Control center in the editing mode.
Dark mode
- Optimization: Brightness and color improvements for wallpapers in Dark mode.
System
- Fix: Home screen went black and started flashing after unlocking in some cases.
Status bar, Notification shade
- New: Status bar color gradient animation.

Tap on the smartphone Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. Download!
