Apple M1X/M2 processors are all leaked

The M1 processor, as Apple Silicon’s pioneering work on the Mac, has gained a lot and has a good reputation. Obviously, in order to complete the goal of replacing Intel processors within two years, Apple needs to work harder. The latest news shows that the M1X and M2 processors are already on the road. Of course, it is still a little doubtful whether such naming will be adopted in the end.

However, the details of the specifications are basically clear. Among them, the M1X is designed with 12 cores and the M2 is designed with 16 cores, including 12 high-performance cores (large cores) and 4 efficient cores (small cores). The performance will be four times stronger than the current M1. M1X is twice as strong as M1.

Even the ARM system that achieves such a high-performance improvement is amazing, especially considering that M1’s performance in some test runs can even compete with AMD Zen3. It is reasonable that M1X and M2 should be used on desktop computers such as Mac Pro and iMac. The power consumption can be relaxed, and the Intel Xeon to be replaced is not so surprising.

In addition, it was said before that Apple is still developing its own display, and plans to kick AMD GPU away in the near future. In terms of time, M1X will be the fastest this year, and M2 will have to wait until 2022 so that the latter will be the first to launch 3nm.
