Microsoft will add a dark theme to the Android version of Office apps and Office Hub

Microsoft is adding a dark mode to its applications and services on all platforms. According to the well-known reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi, the company is currently developing a dark mode for Office applications and Android’s Office Hub. The reverse engineer has successfully caught a glimpse of what the dark mode looks like on Office apps and Office Hub. He also shared some screenshots to let us get a closer look at the new look.

From what we see in the screenshot of view, Microsoft will allow users to choose between bright, dark and default values, after which choose the third option, the system will comply with the smartphones currently on the default theme. However, the leaked screenshots also show that the document area is not dark when the dark mode is enabled. The leaker believes that because the feature is still in the development stage, Microsoft may solve this problem first, and then provide the feature to the public.

Popular Microsoft applications that already support dark themes include Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive, SMS Organiser, and so on. And now with the Android system Office applications and Office Hub applications will join the dark mode, which means that almost all mainstream Microsoft applications on the Android system begin to support the dark mode.

Unfortunately, it is still unclear when the dark mode of the Office apps and Office Hub apps will be available to every Android user. So, what we can do now is to wait for the company to announce the general availability of this feature.
