Disney+ Global subscribers surpassed 100 million

Disney CEO Bob Chapek revealed in an interview recently that the number of Global subscribers for Disney+ has exceeded 100 million.

Last month, Disney just announced that Disney+ had 95 million users. Thanks to the launch of exclusive IP film and television works such as “Mulan” and “Wanda Vision”, Disney+ reached 100 million users in just 16 months.

Disney+ said that in the next few years, 10 Marvel sequels and 10 Star Wars sequels will be launched one after another.

When Disney+ was launched, Disney set a goal of reaching 60 to 90 million users by 2024 and reaching this milestone by the end of 2020. Since then, Disney made a new forecast and now expects to have 230 million to 260 million users by 2024 .

Netflix said in January this year that it has more than 200 million users worldwide. At present, the number of Disney+ users has exceeded 100 million, and it is expected to reach 1/2 of the number of Netflix users soon.
