The new iPhone 13 series may come with a larger battery capacity

Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in a report to investors that Apple will equip all four smartphones in the iPhone 13 series with larger-capacity batteries. MacRumors pointed out that thanks to the more space-saving component design of the fuselage, the new products scheduled to arrive in the second half of 2021 are expected to usher in even greater surprises than the iPhone 12 series. At the same time, the weight of the iPhone 13 may also increase.

Specifically, iPhone 13 may more closely integrate the SIM card slot with the motherboard, and reduce the thickness of the TrueDepth camera optical array on the front. In this way, the iPhone 13 can accommodate a larger battery capacity, bringing better battery life than the iPhone 12 series.

It should be pointed out that the battery capacity of the iPhone 12 series has actually shrunk compared to the previous generation. Among them, iPhone 12/12 Pro / 12 Pro Max are reduced by 295/231/282 mAh respectively. However, thanks to the improvement in efficiency, Apple has maintained the battery life of the iPhone 12 series at the same level.

Since the launch of the iPhone 12 product line, many people have also worried that the 5G connection may greatly reduce the battery life of mobile devices, especially the iPhone 12 mini model with the smallest size/battery capacity. However, while increasing the battery capacity, the analyst also pointed out a disadvantage of doing so, that is, the weight of the iPhone 13 series of smartphones may also increase.

In terms of chips, A15 Bionic is expected to further improve energy efficiency, and it is said that the iPhone 13 Pro Max model is expected to support a ProMotion display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. Finally, the iPhone 13 may further narrow the notch gap, enhance the camera’s Sensor-Shift sensor anti-shake experience, and introduce support for the Wi-Fi 6E wireless network standard.
