Apple reminds developers to prepare for app tracking transparency before iOS 14.5 is released

Apple reminded developers yesterday: Before the release of iOS 14.5, use the new AppTracking deportation framework to update their applications. “Unless you get user permission, the device’s advertising identifier value will be completely zero, and you may not be able to track them.”

In other words, Apple requires all apps to obtain explicit consent from users before using advertising logos to track apps and websites. And when Apple released iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5 and tvOS 14.5, all apps need to comply with these regulations.

AppTract Transparency (ATT) is a new tool launched by Apple to protect user data and prevent unwanted applications from tracking you on other websites and applications. Apple added that all other forms of tracking, such as user names or email addresses, must also be indicated in the App Store privacy label.

These forms of ad tracking will only allow developers to track information with the user’s permission. In addition, Apple also requires developers to tell users why they want to track them and does not allow alternative forms of identification and tracking of users.
