All Google’s mainstream iOS apps already support Apple’s privacy label

At the end of last year, Apple required all third-party software in the app store to add a “privacy label” to further protect consumer privacy. After that, a large number of Google’s iOS software stopped updating for a long time. In February of this year, Google finally started a large-scale update of iOS software, and many software also had privacy label information.

Recently, Google quietly added privacy label information to the Google Maps and Google Photos applications. So far, all mainstream applications under Google have completed the adaptation to Apple’s new requirements.

According to the policy announced by Apple last year, if the privacy label is not added, third-party iOS software will not be able to be upgraded. It has been four months since the last update of Google Maps and Google Photos.

Google did not explain why it took so long to add privacy labels to this iOS software. According to analysis, the suspension period of several months shows that, compared with other technology companies, Google is more cautious in the issue of iOS privacy labels and is more serious in reviewing new versions.
