The revised icon hints that the appearance of iOS 15 apps will usher in a general redesign

Apple has updated the App Store Connect and Apple Music for Artists applications, using icons similar to the macOS design style, which may mean that “iOS 15” will adopt the Big Sur design. Although it is only known that Apple’s next important iPhone software version will be called “iOS 15”, two new icon redesigns hint at its appearance experience.

Previously, the icon of this app was similar to the red background of the ordinary Apple Music app and merged into the blue of the Apple developer app. Now, it is embedded in the red frame, and the music note image has a slight 3D depth.

On the other hand, if it wasn’t for another Apple app that had adopted a similar design concept, it might not have noticed the new shape. The App Store Connect app will be updated to the same format on January 26, 2021.

The trim is also added, this time it is blue. The main part of the icon is also 3D. Apple only said that the 1.5.1 version update includes stability improvements and bug fixes.

The new-look may just be the work of the same designer, but this does not explain why there is a change. In fact, the icons of these two apps come from Apple, but they have broken away from the flat design that Apple is familiar with. This may more hint at the arrival of other changes.

Apple is expected to release “iOS 15” at the WWDC 2021 event on June 7. Normally, it will enter the developer testing phase in the near future, followed by the public testing phase, and then finally released later this year.
