Citing DigiTimes reports, thanks to increased demand and improved global support for new technologies, Apple will substantially increase shipments of mmWave-enabled iPhone models in 2021. The report wrote because the global economy is on a steady recovery track, Apple is expected to increase in 2021 5G mmWave smartphone shipments goal, and this year the demand for its support of mmWave iPhone AiP modules will grow significantly.

iPhone 12 is the first iPhone model to support the 5G network. But there are currently two types of 5G networks, one is mmWave, which is considered the next widely adopted standard and can provide ultra-fast speeds.
