Microsoft is developing a Chrome Tab Groups feature for Edge

One of our favorite Chrome features is Tab Groups, which allows users to organize browsing content and reduces the clutter in their tabs. Now, Microsoft is also developing its own version of Tab Groups in Edge, but the name is different, it is called Workspaces.

Similar to tag groups, users will be able to create a workspace and add tags to it. You can then access the group through the W icon in the tab bar. Different from the label group, it seems that each workspace is more like a virtual desktop, rather than a simple label grouping method, which is likely to make this feature require a higher system load.

The advantage implemented in Microsoft Edge is that Workspaces will automatically implement persistence between sessions unless the user explicitly closes them. This feature is currently appearing in Edge Canary, but as part of a controlled launch, it is only open to some people.
