The Canary channel of Edge browser now provides a performance mode

Two new features have appeared in the latest Edge Canary build version. Microsoft now provides an option to enable performance mode. The description reads: “Performance mode can help you optimize speed, response speed, memory, CPU, and battery usage. Performance improvements may vary based on your personal specifications and browser habits.”

It should be noted that after enabling, the sleep tab is no longer available. This feature is currently a controlled feature push and can be enabled using the following command line switches.

-enable-features=msPerformanceModeToggle

In addition, Edge Canary also brings a feature to add text to PDF. Edge Canary now not only allows you to add handwritten annotations to PDF but also add text in standard formatting format to PDF documents. This function seems to be also available. Not rolled out to all users.

Neither of these two features seems to be rolled out to all users. Those lucky enough to enable it can find it in the latest Edge Canary Build 91.0.859.0.
