According to the many users and their Tweets, WhatsApp users have been receiving links on their phones which claims that it can turn the instant messaging application’s theme from its trademark green to pink. Cyber experts have warned users of the messaging application to refrain from clicking on any such link.
“Beware of WhatsApp Pink!! A Virus is being spread in Whatsapp groups with an APK download link. Don’t click any link with the name of #WhatsappPink. Complete access to your phone will be lost,” cybersecurity expert Rajshekhar Rajaharia posted on social media platforms.
