Huawei’s sales revenue in the Q1 was 152.2 billion yuan, check report

Huawei today announced its operating results for the first quarter of 2021. According to data, Huawei achieved sales revenue of 152.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 16.5%. The network business continued to grow steadily. Affected by factors such as the sale of the smart terminal brand glory in November 2020, consumer business revenue declined.

The net profit margin was 11.1%, a year-on-year increase of 3.8 percentage points. This was mainly due to the company’s improvement of operating quality, continuous improvement of management efficiency, and the receipt of a patent license fee of US$600 million.

Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said: “2021 is still a challenging year for Huawei, but it is also the beginning of Huawei’s future development strategy. Thanks to customers and partners for their long-term trust in Huawei. We will actively face the test. To maintain business resilience, adhere to customer-centricity, and achieve quality survival while continuing to create business value for customers.”

Xu Zhijun emphasized: “Huawei still insists on continuous technological innovation and strong R&D investment, solves the continuity of supply under sanctions, and continues to conduct breakthrough research around basic science and cutting-edge technology.”
