Every studio under Activision is participating in the development of Call of Duty

Toys for Bob, the developer responsible for the development of the “Spyro Dragon Reissue Trilogy” and “Crash and Crash 4”, recently announced that they are supporting the development of the third season of “Call of Duty: Warzone.” Toys for Bob character designer and artist Nicholas Kole broke the news on Twitter that Activision fired many people in the studio. He said “everyone I contacted is allowed to leave”, although the studio has not been completely closed.

Activision has not yet revealed how many people at the Toys for Bob studio have been fired. It seems that apart from the Toys for Bob studio, almost every studio under Activision is participating in the development of the “Call of Duty” series of games.

VGC reporter Andy Robinson tweeted that he was recently told that in fact, every Activision studio is developing Call of Duty. Activision’s Sledgehammer, IW, Treyarch and Raven Software have been responsible for the development of the “Call of Duty” game for a long time.

In addition, High Moon Studios helped develop the 2019 Call of Duty 16: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 17: Black Ops Cold War. Now Toys for Bob is also involved in the development of “Call of Duty: War Zone”. Previously, Vicarious Visions, a studio under Activision, was merged into Blizzard, responsible for the development of “Diablo 2: Remake”.
