March 2021 patch rolled out for Huawei Y7a and MediaPad M5 Lite receiving a new update

Basically, Huawei is too late to update its older and latest flagship and mid-range devices in different regions. Now the company released March 2021 security patch update to its Huawei Y7a device while the MediaPad M5 Lite getting its 20th software update. Below you can check the build numbers as well as the full changelog.

  • The Smart Charge option can be found under Settings -> Battery -> More battery settings.
  • It is important that this function is activated by default.
  • To save the battery, enable the device to learn the charging routine and pause charging at 80% and continue if necessary.

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • The update will not erase any data.

  • Before updating make sure that your phone has 60% or above charge.
  • Download the update through Wi-Fi to avoid extra mobile data charges or failure in downloading the update.

  • Via Support: Open app -> Services Tab -> Update -> CHECK FOR UPDATES -> Download and install.
