According to the latest information, Verizon has now released the April 2021 security patch for the Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Tab S7+ 5G on the build number T878USQU2BUD2 and T978USQU2BUD3 in the US. Below you can check the complete changelog.

Single Take – 2 Video Filters
- Adds 2 video filters – Highlight videos and Filtered videos.
Portrait – Mono/Backdrop Effects
- Change the background for portrait shots using the new High-Key Mono, Low-Key Mono, and Backdrop effects.
Front Camera Gesture
- Now start recording with the palm of your hand.
Duo – Background Effects
- Supports background effects function during video calling.

Samsung is well known for its premium build and design for its flagship products. The Tab S7 series also follows the same. You can feel it as soon as you take the tablet out of the box—It feels like a solid block of metal.
The tablet has a brushed metal finish that’s running all over the edges. The Galaxy Tab S7 weighs 500 grams and is very thin at just 6.3mm. The weight distribution is also pretty balanced here and doesn’t feel top or bottom-heavy. There’s no flex on the tablet either. It looks and feels premium in all possible ways. You also get brushed metal sides.
Upfront, you get an 11-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a similar amount of bezel on all four sides. While you hold the tab in the landscape, you get the selfie camera on the top. To the right of the tablet, you get the USB 3.2 Type-C port and at the bottom, there is a magnetic connector to connect Samsung’s keyboard.
According to the latest information, The April 2021 Android security update is now rolling out to select variants of the Galaxy Tab S7/S7+. The new software for the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+ also includes bug fixes and stability improvements. It is a big update, so it is a good idea to use a Wi-Fi network to download it. The update also brings some new features related to the camera, DeX, and productivity. Both Wi-Fi-only and cellular versions of the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+ are receiving the new software update in Asia, Europe, and the UK.
The update also includes improved usability for external input devices like keyboards and mice, S Pen pressure sensitivity recognition while using the tablet as a second monitor, improved multi-window feature, support for screen recording in DeX mode, and background effects during video calls as well as High-Key mono and Low-Key mono effects in the camera’s portrait mode. It also brings two video filters (Highlight videos and Filtered videos) to the tablet’s rear-facing camera and the ability to use the palm gesture to start recording videos using the front-facing camera.
Owners of the Galaxy Tab S7 can receive notification of this update. By chance you don’t receive an update notification then check the update manually by going to the device Settings >> Software updates >> Download and install.
Note: Before upgrading to the latest version make sure your smartphone is connected with a proper internet connection, we recommend you to download it over WIFI so that you will not face any error.
