Microsoft Teams integrates PowerPoint Live to add real-time slide translation feature

In the recent update of Microsoft Teams, support for sharing experiences in meetings has been added and PowerPoint Live has been integrated. In this update, Microsoft Teams now adds support for real-time slide translation, which is convenient for users to translate slide content in live lectures.

This slide translation function is part of PowerPoint Live and is currently available on Windows 10 and macOS platforms. PowerPoint Live allows the speaker to give a presentation without sharing the screen with the audience. Users can show their slides directly from PowerPoint, or use the Share Content menu to share their synchronized presentations during a call.

PowerPoint Live in Teams currently also allows users to view their slides, notes, charts, and presentations in a unified view. This ensures that both the presenter and the audience are focused on the presentation, and the presenter will not miss any emergency prompts.

In the June update, the Teams demo window will add support for real-time translation. This new slide translation feature will allow anyone (attendees, presenters) to privately translate presentation content. Attendees can right-click the presentation to access the translation feature, as shown in the screenshot below.
