According to Microsoft, in Windows 10 2004 and above, if you use the file manager to modify the metadata of a FLAC audio file, such as title, artist, or other audio metadata, the FLAC file will be damaged and cannot be played.

Some FLAC files will contain ID3 frame headers at the beginning, which contain information such as singer, title, album name, age, style, and so on. In Windows 10 2004 and above, the file explorer ignores the ID3 frame header, because it determines that FLAC files start with 4 bytes FLAC by default.
