Google said in a statement: “Firmina will provide South American users with better Google services. The submarine cable has 12 pairs of optical fibers, which can make the transmission from North America to South America faster and safer, allowing users to quickly access Google products with low latency, such as Search, Gmail, YouTube and Google cloud services.”
