iPhone 13 lineup will still be limited to the maximum storage space of 512GB

Apple may launch its next-generation iPhone 12s or iPhone 13 products in two to three months. Before that, research organization TrendForce has outlined its expectations for these devices. Apple will release four new iPhones in September, including one mini, one standard and two Pro models.

September is the month when Apple usually releases new iPhones, but due to production delays related to COVID-19, the iPhone 12 lineup was only announced in October last year. The new iPhone will have a smaller bang above the display, but in addition, there will be a similar design to the iPhone 12 model.

These devices will be driven by Apple’s next-generation A15 chip, which is manufactured on TSMC’s 5nm+ process. All four iPhones will be equipped with OLED displays, and two professional models will also be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother content.

The new iPhone will have the same storage capacity options as the iPhone 12. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 models have 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB storage, while the 12 Pro model has a 512GB option.

The rear camera system of all four iPhones will be equipped with sensor displacement image stabilization, which is currently unique to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. For the new Pro models, the wide-angle lens will get autofocus. LiDAR scanners will continue to be limited to Pro models.

As the epidemic in the United States and Europe shows signs of relief, TrendForce predicts that the annual iPhone production in 2021 will increase by approximately 12.3% year-on-year to 223 million units. The research company believes that the “iPhone 12s” lineup will account for nearly 40% of the total output.
